Madison Healthcare Services (MHS) is looking for interested local individuals to partner with us on a project that promotes art while offering healing benefits to our patients and residents. Currently, a long hallway connects MHS’s care center to the hospital and clinic; this is referred to as “the link.” The link is used by hospital patients, care center residents, family members, staff, and community members.
MHS is actively searching for local individuals that want to showcase their artwork in the link. We are hoping to display 3-4 pieces of their work. The theme for the proposed artwork is “Rural Minnesota.” Art forms can be in the form of paintings or photography. We are in the process of applying for an art grant to be able to compensate talented individuals for their art pieces. By displaying their work for the public to see, we feel that our patients and residents benefit from this and support and promote art in our rural area.
Artists are encouraged to use the form below to express their interest in applying for this project. We ask that the artists submit 3 -4 pieces for consideration in the project. Depending on grant funding artists could be eligible for up to $500 total for their submitted pieces.
Applications have now closed. Thank you for your interest.
