60 hours per pay period w/ on-call rotation including weekends and holidays Hourly Rate Range: $26.86/hr-39.22/hr
Position Summary
The Radiologic Technologist will provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining and following safe radiation practices. Demonstrate leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists.
Duties / Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures including general x-ray, CT, Bone Densitometry, C-Arm and portable imaging while maintaing safety for self, patients and all other individuals utilizing ALARA standards.
• Produce quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Prepare and transmit images to the Radiologist for over-read, and report over-read results to providers.
• Create/Burn CD’s in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist patients as needed with walking, transfer, exam prep, etc.
• Performs IV starts and contrast administration, as required.
• Apply the use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems.
• Complete patient referrals daily.
• Concise and complete EMR documentation and paper based documentation for all assessments and procedures.
• Comply with and follow policies and procedures as outlined by Madison Healthcare Services.
• Maintain HIPAA at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Must be licensed and accredited by ARRT or eligible.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Knowledge of PACS administration.
- Ability to accurately perform required diagnostic imaging exams as ordered by the Medical Provider/s.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes, radiation safety measures, common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- Knowledge of applicable radiology state rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations including OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
- Strong commitment to providing superior, individualized compassionate care to our patients.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
