Direct Access Lab Testing

Direct Access Lab Testing allows today’s health conscious consumer to easily and inexpensively order and obtain results of laboratory testing without going to a physician’s office or clinic. If you do not have health insurance, or if you have high deductibles and co-pays you may find Direct Access Lab Testing to be an affordable way to get the information you need. The testing is performed at the Madison hospital in its fully accredited medical laboratory by highly trained lab professionals. Tests will be completed the same day and will be sent to the address provided. We will not send the results to your healthcare provider.

This Direct Access Testing is not meant as a substitute for regular medical care.

• A physician’s order is not required for these tests.
• There is no need to register at the front desk, just come directly to Madison Hospital Lab.
• The results will be sent directly to you. The Lab will not send a copy to your provider. You will need to bring a copy of the lab results with you if you schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider.
• You must pay for the tests in advance by cash or check–insurance will not be billed.
