Duties / Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures including general x-ray, CT, Bone Densitometry, C-Arm and portable imaging while maintaing safety for self, patients and all other individuals utilizing ALARA standards.
• Produce quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Prepare and transmit images to the Radiologist for over-read, and report over-read results to providers.
• Create/Burn CD’s in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist patients as needed with walking, transfer, exam prep, etc.
• Performs IV starts and contrast administration, as required.
• Apply the use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems.
• Complete patient referrals daily.
• Concise and complete EMR documentation and paper based documentation for all assessments and procedures.
• Comply with and follow policies and procedures as outlined by Madison Healthcare Services.
• Maintain HIPAA at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Must be licensed and accredited by ARRT or eligible.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Knowledge of PACS administration.
• Ability to accurately perform required diagnostic imaging exams as ordered by the Medical Provider/s.
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes, radiation safety measures, common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• Knowledge of applicable radiology state rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations including OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
• Strong commitment to providing superior, individualized compassionate care to our patients.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
